staff at Locksley Christian School
are committed to providing the best possible education for every
student. They desire to see each child develop Christ-like character
as well as achieving their full academic potential.
All
staff take seriously the responsibility for education that has
been entrusted to them by the parents. Consequently, the children
and young people receive all the attention needed to grow in
both mind and spirit.
The
roles of staff
Mrs.
Amanda Franklin is the Head Teacher of Locksley Christian School
and oversees a dedicated team of staff. Some of these men and
women work in the Learning Centres as Supervisors and Monitors,
while others are involved in teaching practical lessons or in
adminstrative and support work.
The
Supervisor's foremost responsibility is to inspire achievement
in the students within the Learning Centre. Assistance is given
in such a way that students are enabled to take increasing responsibility
for their own learning. This assistance includes answering academic
questions, adding information, and enhancing understanding.
The students are trained to set goals and reach objectives.
Every day, the Supervisor praises, encourages, motivates, and
builds the students' confidence.
The
Monitor is the general assistant to the Supervisor and is responsible
for the administration in the Learning Centre. This includes
checking student goals and completing a Goal Check Report each
day, taking attendance, supervising the playground, reviewing
student progress at the end of the day, recording test scores,
and providing new curriculum.
